Our love for Pisco extends for four generations
THE STORY
Don Ismael de la Quintana produced the first bottle of Pisco Huamaní in 1890. Since then, the art of making Pisco became a passion that was passed down from generation to generation. Today, our family continues the same tradition at Pisco Valley, giving life to Hacienda Huamaní and its famous spirit.
THE NAME
It was at Hacienda Huamaní located in the highest part of the Ica Valley in Peru, where our Pisco tradition began and, hence, its name.
From the ancient Andean dialect Quechua, Huamaní is the spirit who protects the people of the mountains.
THE PROCESS
At Huamaní we respect Don Ismael de la Quintana’s legacy by following the same recipe he created more than 125 years ago as well as the same copper stills. We use the finest selection of aromatic and non-aromatic Pisco grapes. Both elaboration and distillation processes are artisanal and in small batches,
minding every detail and ensuring the quality of the final result. This is how Pisco Huamaní makes its way from our Hacienda to your glass.
